OUR METHODOLOGY

No mystery behind the numbers.

What we rank, what we research and what a score cannot tell you.

One source. A clearly defined ranking.

Our health insurance customer review table orders four selected providers by their numerical Trustpilot score, from highest to lowest. It is a ranking within this sample, not a ranking of every UK insurer. We do not weight scores by review count or combine platforms. If scores tie, the providers share a rank and appear alphabetically.

A dated snapshot

Unconnected ratings are labelled with their snapshot date. When the Trustpilot feed is connected, scores, review counts, rankings and available star distributions refresh together, with a retrieval time beside the figures. Connected data is cached for up to one hour. If the feed fails, the dated snapshot is shown again; it is not presented as current. We use the numerical TrustScore, not a rounded star graphic. The source links let you check the original profiles.

Different profiles cover different things

Vitality’s profile spans health, life and wellness. Aviva’s covers multiple insurance products. Bupa UK Insurance and AXA Health are more closely aligned with healthcare but may still cover different plans and services. These populations are not directly equivalent, so the table does not establish which insurer is best for health claims.

Customer feedback and editorial research are separate

We show the third-party score as a source score, not as our own rating. Provider overviews are desk-based summaries of linked insurer information. Feedback paragraphs paraphrase a small selection of visible reviews on the source profiles. They are illustrative observations, not a representative customer survey. We have not independently surveyed customers, verified their claims or tested the policies.

What we do not publish

We do not reproduce full third-party customer reviews, invent testimonials or award unsupported “best insurer” badges. We do not use third-party ratings as our own review structured data. No customer names or sensitive medical stories are copied into our content.

Commercial influence

There are currently no paid placements, affiliate links or referral agreements. Providers have not paid for inclusion or their position. Future referral relationships must be clearly disclosed and must not alter the stated score-ordering method.

Editorial status

This is an early-stage publication based on source-linked research. The pages have not been reviewed by a qualified insurance adviser. Before relying on a product detail, read the current policy documents and confirm your own underwriting and benefits with the provider.
