There is no universal price
The useful number is a quote based on your own circumstances and chosen cover. A promotional starting price cannot tell you what your policy will cost.
Compare the same basket
Write down the people covered, excess, hospital access and optional benefits for every quote. If one policy costs less, first check whether it includes less.
Use a simple annual budget
Record the total premium for the year. Beside it, note your possible excess and anything you would need to pay yourself. This separates the predictable cost of owning the policy from the cost of using it.
Ask about renewal
Ask how the price can change, whether an introductory offer expires and how claims may affect renewal. Avoid choosing a policy that would only feel affordable in its first year.
